Top 10 Best Monitor Arm Recommendations for your WFH dream

best monitor arm review

More often than not, we are thrilled by the presence of multiple monitors on our desks as a sign of productivity, or multitasking. However, the mere presence e of multiple monitors on our desks does not necessarily equate to productivity as that would require actual productive effort in place. Multi-monitor designs paved the way for the introduction of ultra-wide monitors whose offers surpass the benefits of multiple monitors by large. Screen resolution is a major player with modern ultra-wide displays getting better and better with each new release.

A monitor can be categorized as ultra-wide if its display ratio is 21:9 aspect ratio. Ultra-wide monitors are screens engineered to look like theatre screens. The most common ultra-wide monitors range from 29โ€ to 34โ€ monitors with a pixel resolution of 2560p to 3440p in width and 1080 to 1440 pixels in height.

Arm-Up with a Workspace Lowdown

A short intro follows. We used one of our trusty interns, placing her, and the cramped cubicle she works in, at the mercy of our seasoned reviewers. Without a space saving monitor arm, her desk real estate is partially overwhelmed by an aging display. A neck straining nightmare is likely, plus plenty of shoulder hunching, so we resolved to fix her plight by testing out all of our recommendations at her desk.

monitor arm for WFH setup

The โ€˜beforeโ€™ scenario isnโ€™t great. The workspace is tight, productivity is low, and a chiropractor bill seems imminent. We need a premium monitor arm thatโ€™ll allow her to focus on her editing duties without worry of load instability. Sheโ€™ll receive a computer accessory that rises to shoulder height, in line with her eyes, so no more hunching down. Other desirable product traits to seek out include a tilt and lock function, a reliable mount locking system, and a counterbalanced display movement mechanism.

By the time weโ€™re done, our intern will be equipped with a display thatโ€™s tailored to meet her every movement. Weโ€™ll even take care of distasteful cable management problems and weird articulation issues, as her desk is loaded with files and folders.

Bottom lining it, easy installation is a great feature. In use, though, itโ€™s hard to beat stability, especially when supporting large or multiple monitors. A healthy measure of flexible, full range of motion articulation is always good, too, plus a nice warranty, of course.

Note: Terms such as VESA compatibility and mounting options will be covered in this post. Be aware, as they indicate a need for standardized mounting patterns, fittings that ensure the arm will match the rear of a selected monitor. Some tools may be required, and knowledge of a monitorโ€™s rear dimensions, screw holes included, will be helpful.ย

THE best Ultra-Wide Monitor Arms To Choose From

In this โ€˜Best ofโ€™ roundup, weโ€™ll be discussing the perks experienced by our expert review panel regarding monitor arm features. Just so our readers know, weโ€™re not going to stop at decluttering or space saving. Sure, our best monitor arm recommendations free up desktop space, but weโ€™re not limiting our staffers to thoughts of ergonomics. That would be a truly unremarkable and one-dimensional article to wade through.

Weโ€™re better than thatโ€”and so are our readersโ€” so letโ€™s talk about ultrawideย  monitor support and fine-grained angular adjustments. Heavy-duty display positional locking and resolute workspace visual interacting, without constantly pulling back a wandering monitor on its cheaply drifting arm, letโ€™s recruit some keen staffers, moldable minds that can find a pivoting display arm to suit any purpose, or budget.

Below we look at some of the best ultra-wide arms available. Settling on one that suits you best can be a challenge, be it single support, dual or multisport arm, an ideal working position should be the driving factor when selecting an ultra-wide monitor arm combined with financial constraints.

premium monitor arms

Ergotron HX

Users of the Ergetron HX Desk Monitor Arm could be forgiven for thinking a heavy-duty display support has to look ugly. Disproving this assumption with some vigor, the Ergotron arm boasts a refined matte black finish and a robust 3-segment support structure that instantly propels it into our best monitor arm recommendations list. Those segments are connected via strong pivot joints, enabling the support of large 49โ€ monitors without any problem whatsoever. Basically, itโ€™s a heavyweight display champ.

With our intern using one of our larger office monitors, she familiarized herself with the smooth 75ยฐ range of tilt and the 180ยฐ panning. Our loaner BenQ 32โ€ PD3200U monitor, coming in at a weighty 29 lbs, used its VESA 100x100mm rear mount pattern to good effect here, and the segments all worked in concert when this apparently heavy load needed to be pulled close. Gripping the monitor sides, it glided in close. Once in range of short user arms, a light gesture could move the panel up, or down an 11.5โ€ range, allowing our fussy intern to sidestep the fluorescent panel shuffle, as caused by reflections from a glaring overhead light fitting.

Keen intern insights โ€“ Cable management was capably taken care of by under-arm wire clips guiding two or more monitor feeds. Our intern also played around with the sturdy joints and what the manufacturer calls โ€˜Constant Force Technology.โ€™ This is best explained as a spring-loaded counterbalancing mechanism. Although heavy, a light touch placed on an unwieldy monitor easily manipulates it into a desired position. Of some note, impressing us, the monitor neither sagged nor wandered when it was set in place.

Relatively expensive but a solid heavyweight performer, the Ergetron HX monitor arm is available in matte black, white, and polished aluminum. It can also rotate 360ยฐ of the way around, allowing supervisors to inspect the work of blossoming interns. It clamps via a grommet mount, uses allen screws for assembly, and does actually come together with very little effort, and tools, required. Thinking of home applications, with a 42โ€ size and 49 lb load capacity, it would excel as an ergonomic support for an ultrawide gaming or content creation monitor

Ergotron LX Desk Monitor Mount LCD Arm, Tall Pole

Everything reviewed so far has been designed to support one monitor. Letโ€™s fix this omission by pulling in an Ergotron LX Monitor Arm for testing. As the title suggests, thereโ€™s a forking pair of pivot joints coming out of the top of the side-by-side grommet base mount. From here, two horizontally oriented segments rotate, then link to yet another two arms. Itโ€™s these last dual support elements that stretch upwards at an angle to lock against a VESA plate, using either a 75x75mm or 100x100mm hole pattern.

In short, what we have here, gracing our reviewersโ€™ workstation, is a creativity asset that earns its keep by reducing mouse clicks. A creative worker drops one computer workspace on their primary display, then the secondary screen holds supplementary workspace info. For example, a photoshop user could put Adobe Bridge or Lightroom filmstrips and thumbnails on one monitor, then do all their editing on the second display, probably the primary screen. The Ergotron LX Side-by-Side Monitor Arm takes care of this double duty burden. The only drawback we could find to this arrangement is the fact that dual screen real estate is limited to two 27โ€ monitors.

Keen intern insights โ€“ We liked how one screen could sit in the typical horizontal aspect ratio, whereas a second display could be mounted vertically, maybe to list long lines of code. A grommet mount or two-piece clamp steadied the whole affair, stabilizing two monitors as they rotated through 360ยฐ twists or 75ยฐ tilts. For posture improvement, the screens also dropped or lifted through aย  full 13โ€ range of motion. Supplemented by a good office chair, one with plenty of lumbar support and pneumatic height adjustment, sore backs and neck-cracking aches were not an issue.

Also, supported by a comprehensive accessories collection, Ergotron have gone out of their way to make their gear versatile and easy to assemble. Itโ€™s also constructed from premium metals and toughened rotating jointsโ€”linked by a spring tensioning systemโ€”so jangling nerves created by entrusting two potentially expensive screens to this mounting arrangement should be eased. The 10 year warranty also goes some way to easing any potential worries.

There are 2 versions of the Ergotron LX we highly recommend, first one comes with 8″ pole

Judging by the name, this Tall Pole (13″) Ergotron LX does come with a 13ยผ inch pole suitable for people over 6 feet tall especially when switching from sitting to a standing posture.

Other than the extended cable, it has much the same features as a standard Ergotron and supports monitors between 7 โ€“ 25 lbs. A cable management feature keeps cables out of the way.

Humanscale M2.1 Monitor Arm

The next entry on our list has to earn itself a place near the top. Granted, this wouldnโ€™t be due to low-budget appeal, but users who are willing to splurge will receive something special for their investment. Flexibility, not just of form but of function, is the secret sauce powering the HumanScale M2.1 Monitor Armโ€™s appeal. Itโ€™s simply one of the most adaptable pieces of computer gear on the market. Letโ€™s navigate over to the Humanscale website to check out the various configurations available.

Itโ€™s the small column of dropdown menus that made a big impact with our team. They cover simple style choices, including component color, all the way up to intricate functions, which range from rock-solid base fittings and mounting mechanisms to role-optimized robust arm segment shapes and pivoting joint configurations. Better still, thereโ€™s an option to fit a digital hub at the base of the monitor arm, although this does ramp up the cost of the product significantly.

We chose to test the m/connect 2 docking station, the most expensive of the two digital hubs. The m/connect 3 is cheaper but doesnโ€™t have as many media connecting and charging ports. Back with the m/connect 2, itโ€™s essentially a hub, a device that provides different flavors of USB connectivity and charging, such as USB-C and USB 3.0. With it in place, there were no untidy cables stretching across a workstation to hookup laptops and media devices. Again, itโ€™s a handy device, but itโ€™s more likely to fit an executive office, as itโ€™s not cheap.

Keen intern insights โ€“ Even without the workstation hub, the sleek Humanscale M2.1 monitor arm has carved out a place in the hearts of our reviewers. It ranks highly on our best monitor arm recommendations review, competing for top place against several other worthy contenders. Do be aware, however, that the costs of the various elements will quickly add up. We advise shopaholic buyers to stick to the basics, buying only the segments needed to suit a particular desk layout.

Like many of the premium monitor arms in this review, Humanscale has added their own spin on heavy monitor handling. Fitted with weight-compensating springs, bulky flatscreen displays move effortlessly and come to a stop exactly where the workstation user intended. Other notable features include quick release joints, enhanced tilt, rotate and reach flexibility, and a 15.5 lb load capacity. A counterweight indicator and smart stop technology complete an enviable specs list.

VIVO Ultrawide Monitor Arm

Since ultrawide monitors are no longer considered some kind of trend, weโ€™ve decided to fully embrace the immersive digital environments they create. The black, powder coated finish covering the subdued aluminum segments radiates style. Matching that shiny charcoal finish are more practical features. A curved 49โ€ width can be held over a clean workstation, carrying 39.6 lbs of tech-heavy screen. Easily stabilized and locked down, the VESA affixed display has a 45ยฐ tilt and 180ยฐ swivel freedom.

While the main base pole did seem a little long, our reviewers gave it a passing grade because itโ€™sย  the foundational link for a dynamic pneumatic segment. True, while a little more full-figured than the other segments forming the arm, it does a fine job of minimizing the effort needed to reposition a screen, even if that screen is big enough to almost count as a flatscreen television. The same air-powered mechanism also proved a solid performer when it came to droop elimination and unexpected display shifts.

Keen intern insights โ€“ Attractive to look at as it is built to carry heavy-duty ultrawide monitors, the VIVO monitor arm, model number STAND-V101GT, includes a fine tuning control. Itโ€™s located on the end of the short horizontal segment, accessed and turned by the included 3mm allen wrench. Clockwise turns are suited for lighter monitors, counter clockwise for heavier screens. As well as the 3mm wrench, thereโ€™s also a 4mm and 6mm allen wrench in the box.

With tools included and easy to follow assembly instructions written in pictorial form, the VIVO monitor arm was a breeze to set up. VESA 75x75mm and VESA 100x100mm compliance is followed, and the excellent documentation even clearly illustrates the differences between grommet base and clamp brace desk fittings, both of which are included. Finally, for those concerned about messy wiring, the pole and adjusting arm segments all feature concealed cable management channels.

Mount-It! Triple Monitor Mount Arm

For the multitasking professionals, you know who you are, darting their eyes left and right, carrying out several workflows at once while juggling a boiling hot cup of coffee, itโ€™s three screens or bust. One monitor to do my work? Please, I need a triple screen rig. If thatโ€™s true, and some pros really do work that hard, then the Mount-It! Triple Monitor Mount Arm is exactly what you need. Its trio of star-shaped mounting plates await.

Three reviewers for three monitors, we had staff to spare because it was the end of the week. They worked together to fit the grommet style desk mounting. We can only guess that clamp style mechanisms were out of the question because of the extra weight. At any rate, the rig felt like it was made out of premium materials, and it even featured three gas-powered cylinders, so all monitors could move independently and smoothly too. We did have to stop for a moment to figure out the various range of motion options, but it was smooth sailing from this point onwards.

Keen intern insights โ€“ Backed by seasoned benchmark testers this time, our intern observed tilt range. It varied between +90ยฐ and -15ยฐ of tilt. Likewise, the height range had a maximum and minimum, which locked in at a 10.6โ€ top and bottom limit. As for swivel and rotation, on-the-move office types can expect a 240ยฐ twist range and a full 360ยฐ rotation. One deskbound user can enter data, then swivel and rotate the screen so that someone on the opposite side of the desk can view the screen output, too.

The solid die cast metals in this rig felt, well, solid. No droop or shake accompanied movement from a nearby rambling presence, so no boss on the prowl could shake its gas stabilized hold over any of the three screens, each of which could be sized up to a 24โ€ screen span. There was also a tensioning screw again. Just as before, clockwise twists to the screw should be used for lighter monitors, then turned counterclockwise if the monitor is a heavier model. Maximum monitor weight, as observed on the specs page, is 14.8 lbs, which is more than enough for most 24โ€ screens.

More Budget options

WALI Gas Spring Monitor Arm

Intermission time, weโ€™re switching interns. Our young annex worker has been pulled by a senior staff member. Just as well, we have a Dell 34โ€ gaming monitor to play with during office hours. Itโ€™s their model S3422DWG curved monitor, fitted with a VESA 100x100mm rear mount interface. The WALI Gas Spring Monitor Arm, using either VESA 75x75mm or 100x100mm mounting, is a heavy duty 45ยฐ tilt and 90ยฐ swivel workhorse, built to carry 35โ€ screens, so it seemed like a match made in heaven.

The gaming enthusiast intern was partnered with a senior review staffer, and the work began. Installation was easy enough, the all-metal segments utilizing either a grommet base mount or a C-Clamp anchoring point. The grommet mechanism was eventually picked, but it was nice to know the C-Clamp was there if we wanted to attach the arm monitor to a thicker desk surface. Then, although our gamer was quickly becoming preoccupied with monitor settings, our reviewer turned his attention to the gas spring arm. It really did smoothen the manipulation of heavy screens, making the process feel satisfyingly like moving a much lighter load.

Keen intern insights โ€“ A bump on the narrow workstation caused an under-the-breath curse and a sore knee, yet the monitor barely wobbled on its WALI gas spring arm. We took note of that feature while limping over to the cushioned office seat behind the desk. By the way, curving across the desk with its 34โ€ width, the Dell monitor came in at an underweight 17 lbs. The heavy duty arm segments and quick detach VESA plate can support almost twice that weight.

The only other advice weโ€™d offer at this point is to use a two man team when assembling the gear. Someone will install the monitor arm, then the recruited second person will hold the monitor while the mounting stage takes place. Afterwards, a weighty monitor might interfere with a tilt operation, but thereโ€™s an adjustable hex nut that can be locked down when a specific degree of tilt is required by the computer user. Settings like this are vital when establishing a comfortable posture over the course of a long workday.

Amazon Basics Premium Single Monitor Stand

This single-arm mount works with almost any monitor measuring 81.2 cm or even those that measure a bit smaller. These can be connected to your desk via C clamps. So ensure that your desk is thick enough to be able to bear the two C clamp installations. You must have a more hefty desk for this setup.

It also works for the heavier monitor. You just need to tighten the screws to have a better and more snug hold.ย

Itโ€™s identical to an LX Ergotron arm, this is just the cheaper version. So this will also suit you if you are tight on the budget.ย

And it has a decent range of motion. So youโ€™ll have less hassle in configuring the installations of the two units together on a single desk. It will still give you the same flexibility you get with a dual monitor mount.ย ย The AmazonBasics Single Monitor arm tops our list offering the following set of features. The ease of setup is an ergonomic advantage with AmazonBasics Single Monitor Arm. Besides saving desk space, it is the most adjustable offering different ranges of positions both vertically and horizontally.

The adjustability does come with multiple angles for tilting, panning, or rotating to support switching from landscape to portrait mode effortlessly.

The support for heavier monitors is another added advantage as the AmazonBasics Single Monitor arm supports up to 25 lbs. AmazonBasics Single Monitor arm is VESA compatible but does come with a 1-year warranty

The Premium version is much better, compare to the Single version

It adjusts effortlessly to offer ease of use for side-by-side monitors. Advertently, its weight load is up to 20 lbs. VESA is compatible and does come with a one-year warranty. Attachment to the desk is a grommet bracket.

Huanuo Dual Monitor Arm

Another elegant piece of dual monitor gear, the Huanuo HNDS12 Dual Monitor Arm does the same duties as the previous piece of kit for less. Does that mean itโ€™s less capable too? Letโ€™s find out. Looking at the specs, the arms hold 35โ€ screens, each of which can weigh up to 26.4 lbs. It doesnโ€™t feel like any shortcuts have been taken in the design. On the contrary, this is a heavy-duty dual screen setup with utilitarian looks. Still, for a budget product, it punches well above its weight class.

VESA compliant, to 75x75mm and 100x100mm again, the rigid segments on the Huanuo HNDS12 extend forward and up. Itโ€™ll push monitors forward for a 21.6โ€ closer look or up to a 20.5โ€ height, which is perfect for those of us with age-related vision problems. Likewise, the 45ยฐ to 85ยฐ tilt is good for eliminating annoying office reflections. Two gas springs control all of this finite adjustability, but they sometimes donโ€™t feel quite as smooth as more premium monitor arms, at least that was our reviewerโ€™s impression.

Keen intern insights โ€“ The workaday looks of the Huanuo kit arenโ€™t as attractive as some of the products on this list. No matter, itโ€™s a heavy-duty piece of gear with two gas spring arms and a huge span of screen real estate coverage, meaning itโ€™s a good fit for video production teams and creatives. The clamp and grommet base desk fittings are included, and assembly was easy enough, using a hex wrench again, but that clamp did feel a little intrusive. As long as you donโ€™t need to crawl under the desk, though, youโ€™ll be fine.

A little wobble is experienced when the full 21โ€ stretch is used. We pulled the display forward, and it settled quickly, stabilizing in place for all day coding or video editing. Just as an experiment, we mounted the second monitor vertically, hex wrench at hand. Large code datasets and spreadsheets were superbly framed in this orientation, with a slight tug tilting the screen away from a noon day windowโ€™s overly bright illuminance.

This monitor arm has a sleek design with a different array of colors to choose from. It offers the same amount of sturdiness and motion as the preceding two arms. It has a securely adjustable tension clump mounted onto the desk with cable management to minimize desktop cluttering. It is VESA compatible supporting a weight of up to 19.8 lbs.

It, however, does come with the drawback of difficulty when it comes to putting it all together, it can be challenging to assemble.

Why Choose An Ultra-Wide Monitor Arm

Needless to say, productivity or gaming enthusiasts do understand better the ergonomic value of varying a wide field of view for effective productivity. The benefits that do come with ultra-wide include;

Ultra-wide offer a much bigger working space compared to multiple monitors connected together. In essence, they offer a much more seamless working environment.

ultrawide monitor

Desk clutters are a major setback when it comes to productivity organization, unlike multiple monitors, ultra-wide offers the need for using a single connector unit. More so, they do not overburden the video card with multiple connections to power up.

Monitor resolution is a key player with ultra-wide. Standard 16:9 aspect ratio monitors become unbearable at a close distance as the display gets bigger, however, with a 21:9 aspect ratio, native resolution applications can be run without the need for upgrading any hardware components.

Ultra-Wide Monitor Arm

Advertently, your graphics card does not need to run multiple refresh rates on different monitors.

Gamers and productivity hawks do have varying benefits from ultra-wide, for gamers, you would enjoy an all-surrounding experience with no bezels on the way, productivity hawks would love opening multiple windows and tiles without having to resize anything or switching from one program to another.

Ultra-wide do come in varying shapes of either flat screen or curved displays. A curved display ultra-wide brings an all-around wrap feeling with everything feeling all-natural such that your focus is always in the center.

What To Look before shopping

Settling for a monitor arm that suits your need best can be a challenge owing to the myriad of options available on the market each with its set of benefits they promise to offer. Here we look at some of the key features you should pay attention to when selecting an ultra-wide arm.

Needless to say, monitor arms are often like ugly appendages when poorly designed. In essence, looking for an ultra-wide arm necessitates you have a goal in mind. In such a case, an ideal working position is often the driving factor when selecting an ultra-wide arm. As s guide, you should settle for a nicely designed arm that is flexible enough to allow you to swivel around trying to locate an ideal position to work.

monitor arm for ultra wide

An ideal monitor arm should offer solid anchoring to your desk such that your monitor can never fall. Often grommet brackets and clamps are common design additions for the steadiness of a monitorsโ€™ arm.

An ideal monitor arm should be able to comfortably support a significant amount of weight regardless of position and height.

More so, the arm should offer ease of removal should you feel the need to change the position of your monitor. The arm should attach solidly to your desk as well as detach easily.

Most ultra-wide monitors are VESA mount compatible. Settling on an arm that is VESA compatible is an added advantage. Furthermore, not all ultra-wide monitor arms are created equal, before purchasing a monitor arm, ensure to check its suitability to fit into your monitor.

Best Monitor arm: dual or single monitor mount?

Monitor’s arms allow you to work comfortably and more efficiently. There are basically two types of monitor arms available in the market- a single mount and a dual mount. What should you use? If you have only one monitor, itโ€™s easy to get a single mount. While a dual monitor mount works for multiple monitors.ย

Now that thatโ€™s settled, here is the next question. Is a dual monitor mount better than using 2 single monitor arms? If you combine the two single monitor mounts, they will be able to hold multiple monitors, right? So what makes it different from a dual monitor mount? Or is there any difference at all?

dual or single monitor mount

Dual vs Single Mount Showdown

It may also be based on your preference. But here are the differences between using a dual monitor mount from a 2 single monitor arm setup.

1. Space requirement

If you don’t have a generous desk space, a dual monitor arm will work better. Since you only need to clamp on one pole and stand for the setup, it will have a lesser footprint.ย

If you are using single arms, on the other hand, you have to allot more free space on the desk since you will be mounting 2 units. If you have a wider desk, this will not be an issue. But problems arise if your working area is already full of equipment and gadgets. Then you have only minimal space that you can allow for the arms

2. Installation

The 2 single arms present more hassle. One, you have to install each one. So that will be twice the labor. It will be less a hassle if you have a dal mount instead since you only need to install one unit.ย

ย If you are going to install the arms via a grommet mount, you have to drill a hole for each unit. This will add up to your labor time where you could have been doing something else, right? And if you have a shallow desk, you will not be able to install the arm via C clamps. Unless you have a hefty and stronger table that can take on twice the pressure.ย

The same thing goes if you are going to mount the arms on the wall. You have to drill 2 holes to attach the connecting parts. And extra labor can mean extra hours.

3. Configuration

Dual monitor arms will be easier to configure. It will be easier to reposition or change the tilt and angle of the monitors. Since itโ€™s one single unit, the two monitors are already held in 2 arms and connected to a single base. So you are also sure that they will not bang against one another since they are already configured on a single base.

While with the 2 single-arm setups, you have to do some prep work. You have to measure the suitable distance between two units. Otherwise, the two monitors night bang against one another once you try repositioning them. So you’ll end up dismantling the setup and reinstalling them again.ย

You must also be sure of what brand or model to buy. Are you going to use two identical arms? Or do you want to use different monitor arm models for a more creative working area?ย ย

Whichever is your option, you have to be well versed in what angle the arms can tilt. If you pull them towards or away from you, will they not bang against one another? How about repeating the monitors on separate stands, how will you go about it?ย

So these are just a few of the things that you have to know so that youโ€™ll be able to reposition your multiple monitors easily with a 2 single arm setup.

4. Determine the table strengthย

For the 2 single-arm setups, there will be a double flex in it. So you have to make sure that your desk is strong enough to handle the additional flex. And oh, since there will be an additional pole or stand, it might take on more weight coated to a dual stand. Then again, ensure that your desk is up for it.

5. Clean and organized look

A dual monitor arm offers a cleaner look. Unless you want to keep the two monitors at a significant distance from one another, then go for the 2 single-arm monitor setup.

Dual arms will make a table look more organized. Also, it allows ample freedom of movement and youโ€™re sure that your entire setup will not look too cramped.

When is a 2 single monitor arm setup beneficial?

So from what we have discussed above, the dual monitor arm seems to be the better option for mounting multiple monitors. But of course, there’s always an exception to the rule.

So when is a 2 single-arm setup better? These situations or circumstances may warrant it to be a better option.

  1. Like what we have mentioned in number 5 above, if you need your monitors to be significantly apart, then itโ€™s better to install 2 single arms. Since you have the liberty and option to place the individual units at any distance from one another, itโ€™s the most suitable option.
  2. Also, if you need two different models and brands for each monitor, the 2 single-arm setups will indulge you. This airs from instances where you need one of the monitors to be mounted differently. A dual monitor arm setup will not allow you to adjust each independently in different configurations. And not all double arm mounts have arms that can be adjusted independently.
  3. It can also make your work area look more creative if you’re going to use 2 different models from different brands.ย
  4. And if your table has enough strength and thickness and you want to explore your options, go for it. Just be ready to spend time measuring the distance and computing how much space each monitor needs so you can reposition them properly.
  5. If your monitors are too large, this setup may be better For monitors that measure above 24 inches, itโ€™s sometimes better to use 2 single arms instead of a dual mount. It will give you more flexibility to space out each monitor.

setup beneficial of the best monitor arm today

When it comes to convenience, a dual monitor arm seems to be the better choice. Since you do not have to make measurements to gauge the needed distance between the two units, itโ€™s more appealing to those who don’t want to do extra work.ย

But if you are up for the challenge and you want to be a bit more creative, a 2 single-arm mount setup can be exciting. And if you are using two different models, it can perk up your desk area. Just be ready to do some work on the measurements. And if anything goes wrong, you might need to readjust or dismantle each connection. And some people might be up for that challenge.

Also, the primary advantage of the 2 single monitor arm setup is the greater distance between the two monitors. We think this is the primary reason why people will favor this kind of setup. Because letโ€™s face it, a lot of us do not want to do extra work on installing arms when we can do something else, right?

Ultra-Wide Arms โ€“ What Are They

Working on a regular monitor for a single day shift, at the end of the day, there is a high chance that you would feel strains and pains on your back and neck simply from suppressing your body to poor ergonomics. If such is the case, following a long day at work you experience musculoskeletal injuries, it is highly recommended you get a monitor arm.

As an ergonomic requirement, workplace design should be focused on ensuring your safety and health in order to achieve a comfortable working experience rather than a pain-filled working experience. A good ergonomic lifestyle recommends computer monitors at armโ€™s length and you should be able to sit in a position that does not strain your neck, in essence, your neck should be in a neutral position.

Monitor’s arms are designed to elevate your monitorโ€™s current position to a more suitable position suitable for minimizing injuries when working.

Nowadays more than before, the concept of workplace ergonomics has been integrated into much of our lives. Ultra-wide arms are not complete without a standing desk as such as they make the workstation more complete not to mention the benefits standing desks offer in conjunction with monitor arms. Health concerns are a major setback when it comes to poor working space but with a standing desk, you are at liberty to stand, sit, or walk at your desk.

Benefits Of Ultra-Wide Monitor Arms

The benefits accrued from ultra-wide monitor arms include but are not limited to;

The monitor arms allow for the free control of adjusting the distance between your monitor and your keyboard whenever you so desire. More so, they allow you the ease to adjust your monitor all day round as you move about to achieve an ideal working position.

Swiveling is a key player in teamwork performance at work.
