The ErgoHuman by Eurotech is also highly breathable with its mesh back and seat. It’s one of the most popular ergonomic chairs in the market too. In terms of the price range, it’s cheaper compared to the Steelcase Leap V2. But you’ll get a more adjustable armrest with the Steelcase Leap.

In addition, the Vert Ergonomics mesh chair is also a great alternative for those who are on a budget. It sits at less than 500 bucks and boasts a supportive back design. The ribbed back design aims to support prolonged working hours. It’s one of the great alternatives if you find the Steelcase brand a bit too much for your budget. 

A highly adjustable chair with a basic look

Though some may find this highly adjustable office chair rather confusing and intimidating. With a lot of adjustable ever and features, it can be too much for some. 

Both Steelcase Leap V1 and V2 have a basic classic design. It can easily blend with other office chairs. That’s the purpose of the simple design. So some might find it too plain and basic looking if you’re looking for a highly ergonomic office chair that looks hipper, you mind find the Steelcase Leap a bit lacking. 

The Herman Miller Sayl Chair has a rather stylish and hip design. It offers an adjustable seat depth and is priced lower. Though, the lumbar support may not feel as fantastic as that of the Steelcase Leapv2. 

No back height adjustment – can’t accommodate taller people

This may be the only thing that can put you off when buying a Steelcase Leap V2. Well, apart from the high price, that can be an investment.

The back seat is quite tall measuring 25 inches. So it can still accommodate tall people but not extremely taller ones. And if you’re looking to have it with a high back seat, that can’t happen.   

You‘ll have a better chance with a Herman Miller Aeron Size C if you want a highly ergonomic chair with a high back. The Steelcase Gesture chair and the Autonomous Ergo chair also offer a higher seatback.

It can tilt but don’t expect the rocking motion

Along with the fantastic lumbar support, one of the advantages of the Steelcase Leap V2 is that you can tilt it. But not to disappoint those who want a more rocking motion, but this office chair doesn’t do that. Though you might feel just a subtle one.

So if you’re looking for a highly ergonomic chair that can give you more rocking motion, you have your best bet with the Herman Miller Embody. This is also a high-end office chair. It can give you a fluid rocking motion. 

Though the lumbar support is the best I’ve experienced with Steelcase Leap V2 than the Embody. As for the price range? The Embody is priced a bit higher
