This is the main difference between the era and the cogent.
Cogent is made of a smooth knitted fabric with a hole pattern in it while the Era is a woven fabric. Though both are made from 100 percent polyester and can be cleaned in the same manner, they are still very different in terms of feel and comfort.
The Cogent has a softer feel than the Era. Graze your palms over the woven fabric and you can feel that there is a subtle abrasiveness to it. Though it’s not uncomfortable, you can tell that there’s a bit of roughness to it. The knitted fabric will feel very smooth to the skin.
The woven fabric consists of two threads that are woven together. You can tell that two colors are different from one another even from afar, you can tell that there is a set of two different hues used on the fabric. But this does add a touch of elegance and regalness to the entire look of the chair. It gives the chair a lot of depth and makes it look even more high end.
