In 2011, a group of former US furniture company employees (Educational Furniture & Equipment Co.) in Vietnam came together to create the Standing Desk Topper. Before that, their main products (made in Vietnam, and sold mostly in the US and Canada) were electric standing desks and ergonomic office chairs, both of which are designed to improve workers’ comfort and productivity.
The Standing Desk Topper team has worked together for years, testing their own products and those of their competitors. In doing so, they have gained a deep understanding of the benefits of standing desks and the factors that are most important when choosing one. In May 2014 they have created standingdesktopper.com as a resource for people who are interested in learning more about standing desks and how to choose the right one for their needs. On the site, visitors will find comprehensive reviews of the latest standing desk models, as well as helpful articles on topics such as ergonomics and posture.
The site’s founder, Noah P, started the company (Standing Desk Topper LLC) the year after that because he was too passionate about standing desks and wanted to help others find the perfect one for their home office setup.
